Also....

Weight is more a consideration with bike helmets.

Opening on full face car helmets is generally smaller as vision not required with head at extreme angles so smaller view port offers better intrusion protection.

Venting generally better on bike helmets, even considering open cockpit auto helmets.

Bike helmets not reinforced for Hans points fitment.

Also there are a number of standards in the CAMS helmet listing. Ironically a SA2005/2010 helmet is deemed a higher standard that an AS1698* (you aren't required to wear a balaclava with an SA approved helmet but it is recommended) by CAMS yet you can't wear a SA2005/2010 helmet that's not also AS1698 approved on a bike in NSW.

So my Simpson helmets are no good on the road but an $85 Aldi special is.... go figure
