Still following this thread - love the wheels.
Never seen a rivnut before - from the local car shop, or is it something special?

A rivnut or nutsert is a threaded insert that is installed similarly to a rivet. A crushable section expands out and grips the side of the hole securing it to the panel. They are readily available from a speciality fasteners store ie Conventry Fasteners.
I only used this as I had them handy from the build/maintainence/upgrade of my dads Lotus 7 replica. A nut and bolt would work perfectly well instead.

Re: My Black NB8A
Finally got around to replacing the roof today, got a complete NB roof and frame from Boyracer and did a straight swap. While I was there I pulled out the seats and gave the interior a good vacuum. The car is starting to look better than it has in ages, some previous owners had done a less than adequate job of maintaining the paint and interior .
I have now fixed all the small problems with the car and now can focus my efforts on creating the car I want. Let the mods begin in earnest!

Ok GV front lip is on the way, Project-G Side Fusers should be ordered later this week and have secured a SE rear spoiler. Also have got IL Motorsports headlight eyelids. Now just need to wait for it to get here then paint and install.
Edit: Also installed a offset number plate mount to replace my bent and mangled stock one.

They didn't get back to me, might need to send another e-mail, do you have a more direct contact than - info@projectgla.com ?
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Had great fun at the Speed Off The Streets day chasing down WRX's and a Ferrari 360 ( who went home after being passed by everybody).
Car ran like a clock, no fading brakes, over heating or burnt oil.

Re: My Black NB8A
Have dropped the GV lip, Project G side Fusers, SE rear spoiler and IL Motorsports eyelids off at the panel beaters to be painted. Should be done by Thursday leaving me only with finding time to fit it all.

Re: My Black NB8A
I'll be interested in seeing the Garage Vary lip on the NB8A.
To date I haven't seen any decent pics, they're all kind of bad angles, out of focus, or one that's been painted by a monkey with a spraycan.
Looking forward to pics.

Re: My Black NB8A
Today I replaced the fuel pump which failed last week while at a forum meet/run. Thankfully the NRMA was able to get my car going so I could return home that night (used the old trick of hitting the fuel tank while cranking to encourage the pump to work). While I was at it I also replaced the fuel filter which was WAY overdue.
Now with a working car I picked up the bodykit from the painters and fitted the I.L. Motorsports eyelids this afternoon, the rest will have to wait until I have spare time... whenever that is .
