Is it possible, at some point, you've forgotten to remove the "ST SIG" fuse?

Re: Megasquirt owners thread
Perhaps??
I do not ever recall this occurring but something is wrong.
What would have happened if that did occur?
Would this stop the MS connecting while on the cars harness?
I thought that just stopped the fuel pump from operating.
But i could very well be wrong.

Re: Megasquirt owners thread
Well problem solved.!!!
I could have slammed my own head into a door this morning.
It turns out i forgot to re-disconnect the stock TPS and it was grounding out the MS and stopping it working.
As soon as i disconnected it i could hear the fuel pump work properly and TunerStudios connected instantly.
Can not thank GSLENDER enough!!!!!!!!
Mate you a KING Among Men!!!!!
Gotta thank NitroDann too!!!
I love this Forum!!!
now to take a chill pill and relax a little.
Prepare for the installation.

Glad to hear you had a victory.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re: Megasquirt owners thread
Hey guys, currently getting zero TPS signal... whatsoever, can somebody please tell me what wiring needs to be done on the MS board, using the OEM style plug. Currently have VL TPS wired up.
Ive got
TPS to 4L (seems right)
GND to 4A and 4B
SG to 4C and 4D
Stock power to TPS (red wire) is at pin 1M, so Ive wired this to 5v, to no avail.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dann

Re: Megasquirt owners thread
Ok so it needs to go to VRef not to 5v.
Correct?
Dann

Re: Megasquirt owners thread
It also has a resistor between 5l and 4D, im assuming this si what goes in place if you arent using a variable TPS, and that I should remove it?

Re: Megasquirt owners thread
OK Noob question begin now
I am trying to finish the harness wiring for my MS3 install into a NA8 (95), and am having some issues finding the correct pinouts for both the DB37's on the MS3 (mian card plus MS extra) and the standard ECU plug.
I have seached in many places, and get conflicting DB37 outputs.
Can anyone who has a MS3 running on an NA point me in the right direction. THis will let me get the BP4W running proerly before I put the turbo back on and destroy it with a dodgy tune
Thanks.

Power/ earth wires to go and then bench testing with the JimStim. I am still looking for the pinouts / witing for a 95 ecu connector. Any cl;ues wouldbe greatly appreciated.

Re: Megasquirt owners thread
G'day,
Been working hard on a mod to the latest ms2/extra alpha firmware (3.3.0b) and have just released a mod
http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=44289
This new firmware has TPS oversampling which removes any TPS noise (meaning lag factors for 100 for near instant TPS response) and a new feature called Adaptive PID which reduces PID terms as you target idle rpm (this means you can have aggressive PID for good response to load, but less oscillations and jiggles as PID terms are dampened once idle target is reached).
Plus many new features incorporated from previous mods and work from the MS2/Extra team...(like AC idleup, adaptive idle advance, idle voltage compensation etc).
Recommend any Megasquirt2 user wishing they had OEM style behaviour should consider upgrading (or at least post your concerns and maybe I can address them).

Re: Megasquirt owners thread
Sorry about not reading the whole thread, but quick question:
Any fellow SE owners running a Megasquirt? Sounds straight forward but local support would be nice.
Refer to this thread: http://www.mazda-speed.com/forum2/index.php/topic,27645.0.html
Thinking about buying one from Reverant (in the near future). Sounds like I'll still have support just not here in Australia.
I'd love to run one in parallel but this seems to be frowned upon.
