Aftermarket seats

I cant find any reference online that the Sprint V is ADR approved. I see it typed everywhere in forums but I really suspect that it is just car forum BS that they are ADR approved, certainly the ones I had did not have any ADR markings on them and there is nothing in their catalogue to suggest they are nor is there anything on the Sparco Australia website to suggest their seats are ADR tested and approved.

Would those little kidney shaped padding things work (some seats come with them)? Easier and cheaper than getting the seat re-done.

Cheers...Interesting that the paperwork was accepted despite the different model designation. Personally I would still go on the side of caution and assume that not all engineers / pits will accept that documentation.

To my reading it still shows that the Sprint V is not ADR approved, only the older Sprint model is and there is a reliance on the similar name and appearence of the seat.

Not that I really give sh*t anyway...If it is FIA approved that is good enough for me :mrgreen:

Car model: NA6
Seat brand/name: Velo GPT-1
approx Costs: $799 (not including custom embroidery)
ADR Approved: Yes + FIA
Ease to install - 4 because it is on a fixed bracket, so some bolts are difficult to get to.
Comfort: so far it is more comfortable than stock, but you do feel the bumps more.
Your height: 6' and around 75-80 kg, 36 waist. If you are any fatter than that you will not fit in this seat, If you are around the same size, definitely try it out first
Seat height changes: about 1" Lower than stock
Other comments: The shoulder wing just touches the door when closed. Works with 5-6 point harness.
