Tyre SEALANTS

Postby slowpoke » Tue Jan 24, 2012 10:48 am

'Flats Gone' and 'Puncture Proof' sealants are designed to PREVENT air loss from a tyre when the tread is punctured by a small nail.
Has anyone here used either of these products? And if so are these sealants effective?

Sounds like an interesting product idea. Have you seen this stuff for sale anywhere?

I think Slime does the same thing. I've used it in my mountain bike but it appears to lose it's effectiveness after a while...and just sloshes around.

I just keep an inflator can in my car as it's much easier to use for a temporary repair...and safer than changing a tyre by the side of the road.
