Tirerack questions?

Postby mr bender » Sun Jan 22, 2012 7:23 pm

hello

I want to buy a set of rims/tires from tirerack and just want to ask if anyone have every delt with them?

I have emailed them and got a full quota from them but there asking me to bank transfer the money to them instead of using paypal as he told me there paypal is only in the US

also they will not take my master card number because they can't verify my account.

Now i have brought stuff from the US before using both paypal and mastercard with out a problem.

Does this seem strange that they have asked me to bank transfer the money to them???

any input would be good!
thanks
Glen

They have a very good rep and only deal in wire transfers out of the US.
A number here have used them without any drama.
Have no fear. :)

I have purchased two sets via them now. Both sets arrived with- in one week via fed ex to my door.

Wire xfer costs money, but its safe. Good luck

I've bought tyres from them. They're very good with correspondence and delivery. Took about a week to country NSW for me with good tracking.

I use OzForex for all international transfers now. Typically about $15 in fees and they quote market exchange rates, compared to banks who charge $25-$50 in fees and rip about 10% out of market rates. Plus OzForex service is very friendly. Basically you register with them, get a quote and book a trade on-line, they call you and confirm, they email you their EFT transfer details, you transfer money from your bank to them, when they receive your money they do the international transfer within a day. So the whole process takes 3 or 4 days for the first time.

Don't have any worries when it comes to tirerack, they are one of my favourite online stores!

Just had a look at the Ozforex site, looking at a purchase of some tyres, seems they won't transfer under $2000.?
