Sorry mate, I wasnt sure why you had moved back, I saw your car and thought, 'hey man how are you? ok If you want to drive with me no worries!'.

Sorry Obviously had no idea you had mechanical issues as you were cruising along in 4th and you didnt go down into 1st to let me by.

Obviously I know why now.

LOL... that's alright.. I do it to people all the time.. I seemed to think it was funny.. there'd be a few people happy to have me at the receiving end.

I was trying to get people to go past me, being happy to putter along on 4th, but once we got into the twisties, there was nowhere for me to move out of the way, esp. without losing too much speed, and then not be able to make an uphill corner without changing down (which I didn't want to experiment with just then)...

Still, worked out well... all through the previous week, I've been LFBing in my daily, just for fun and a bit of nostalgia, and was looking forward to driving hamx5ter and LFB, found the clutch pedal in the way, felt it was all too much, and didn't bother... I was actually going to rent a manual to try and remember clutchless shifting; guess I don't need to do that now...

On the way back, I had a bit of time to LFB and clutchless shift

I've just realised I have to order in the clutch, as the shop didn't have it in stock last week; that means I can't get the clutch done till later in the week, so I might just take it out for a drive or two and practice the shifting too... I just have to make sure I park it on a slope with a few feet of clear space when I put it back.. (can't garage it as my driveway & garage are too tricky to manage clutchless starts too )

Now how long did you guys say the starter motor will last push-starting the car?

@Paul ... yep, when I went into the first sweeping turn and found I had no clutch... that face didn't leave me for a while.. hahah

I was happier once I realised the shifting wasn't going to be a worry as I thought initially... Also, I had some trouble getting it out of gear (and I don't like to shove things around), but Dann's suggestion of pushing it to neutral _just_ as I come off the throttle helped hugely... Also, although it didn't seem to matter earlier (or maybe I was too careful then), I was blipping on the upshift too... On the drive home, it just started coming back all on its own, and I remember I didn't need to blip to upshift... ease off throttle, pop into neutral, push into gear, quite nice really, except for the bodgy sydney traffic..

Also, leaving brekkie, Rob had parked the car in the corner at Enzo but some other cars had parked further up... so starting off meant, 1st gear, throttle on, starter motor on, car lurches forward, turn wheel left, nail the throttle, watch that LSD lock the inside wheel SOLID, and the car pretty much just pivots around it  ... loved that

So a lot of laughs, even with the drama.. thanks guys

Got a few shots, but majority being just my car and the locations. I was shooting film so I won't have anything right this minute.
It's hard to focus on the photography when all I want to do is drive and socialize :)
I did film the whole drive though.

Was a great run, including the old pac. on the way back

Post what images you want to circulate whenever they become available and your film that I assume was taken whilst driving on the the road similar to the Xmas Run. That video was great. 8)

We need images for Guran to consider for Club Torque. From your video on the run capture the best images for Guran to assess and please post them on this thread if you have the time.

Thanks for all the kind words guys & gals and I'm glad that everyone had a great time on the first Breakfast Club Run of 2012!

Big thanks to Alan (gobsmax) and of course his trusty navigator (Kimi) as well for leading Group B along the Putty Road.

There was also a strong crowd of 'not-yet-members' and 'first timers' present and I hope that you guys will be coming along to all the other runs the club has planned

My prayers were answered in the morning and the gorge was completely dry for the whole way.

Rain only came down on us after we've passed Wollombi and it was amusing to see all the brave souls that marched on with the roof down for many kms.

Last but not least, make sure you all sign up to George's (two40) run down South next Monday. Info are listed in this thread:

Have fun & drive safe!!! :NB8B: Zoom Zoom..... :NB8B:

I'd also like to add my thanks (to Vic) for a well organised run. A real shame Yem11n (Yemin) and i had to rush off after breakfast as i do fancy oysters and anything other than the F3 would have been better.

Vic, point taken on the 'not-yet-members' remark. Heading to Singapore this week but will join up when i return!

I'd also like to thank gobsmax for leading the B Group, loved the pace (kept the NA6 busy). Now everyone will know that Group B doesnt necessarily mean the slow group

I didnt bring the camera this time but i did take this at our impromptu stop.
