Digital Radio Brand Suggestion needed
As far as I know there are no digital car radios available in Aust yet (happy to be proven wrong). The closest is a Digital receiver which then re-broadcasts via FM to your existing headunit.

If your digital radio has to re-transmit to your FM radio, then you are going to reduce the quality of the sound to somewhere BELOW a good FM radio, and so, it is a useless expense, unless there are stations on digital that you really like and are unavailable on FM.
Sending the nice, crisp digital signal through some cheap FM transmitter is not going to give you good sound quality.

Time to drag an old thread back to the surface.
I was in Jaycar today and noticed that they now sell a single DIN DAB+/Fm/CD/MP3 player. Not the best looking unit, but for $299 you can't have everything.
http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.as ... TID=1029#4
There is also this unit from another supplier, which looks very similar, if not indentical to the one Jaycar are selling, and for the same price.

A quick google search did not find any DAB+ in dash tuners/CD players from any of the major companies....but happy to be proven wrong.

I left the spare parts business late last year, but at the time the only headunit with digital was a JVC, although I believe Kenwood had one in the pipeline. But yes there are certainly available.

And to add to Dann's post.
I have a Kenwood DAB+,AM/FM, USB...and I think it even plays CDs Kenwood 1 Din HU in my NA8. Nice unit. $256 at JB when there was a 30% off sale a few months ago. Powering a set of Morel 6 inch splits.
Only catch is that the DAB+ requires a different arial interface at the back. I ended up getting a DAB/AM/FM arial from http://www.dabonwheels.cok.uk and the correct DAB and FM interface cables.
I'm liking the extra choice of stations that DAB+ offers.....

Re: Digital Radio Brand Suggestion needed
Digging up an older topic, I have fitted the JVC digital radio head unit, it's a great thing, the sound if very good and it does all the MP3 things, iPhone charges and controls iPod from head unit.
I have the JVC bluetooth kit which is also very good, the head unit comes with the digital antenna.
Recomend this to anyone planning an upgrade.

I can also vouch for the JVC unit
I picked it up at Wow Sight n Sound for $249 before they went bust. The model is kd-db56
