When I was putting together my CarPC I was looking into the idea of having stats from OBDII available onscreen, I dropped the idea early on when I worked out the NB8A doesn't have an OBDII port. However with your newer car you could probably go down this route, though I can imagine the OBDII blue tooth adapter + android tablet would be cheaper.
Just another option, I'd imagine a dedicated gauge would be more accurate!

I'd still need oil temp&pressure gauges since the NBA doesn't have these so there's no OBDII info for them
