Mystery Tour of Gippsland (Victoria) planned for Saturday the 14th Jan 2012 - subject to weather conditions!
Departing Saturday morning at 8.00am from the BP Service Centre on the outbound side of the M1 Princes Fwy near Officer (please fill with fuel before we leave)
The plan is for a quick trip (not fast) with the emphases on “keeping up” with a couple of stops along the way to regroup, relax and sample the local bakeries.
Only MX5's please and also bring a UHF radio if you can beg, borrow or own one.
The trip will be a mystery as I haven't been to many of the places.

I'll put myself as a yes for now, although I won't know for certain if I can make it until probably a few days before, depends on when a few jobs happen.

I,m in, don't have access to a UHF radio but I do have a GPS in case I get horribly lost.

Weather forecast is looking promising for the majority of the day and I will be doing a run regardless.
At the moment we have

2. 91 Malibu
Unfortunately bensale has pulled out due to Club commitments

OMFG What an awesome day thanks Bob.
You know you have dríven hard when a standard NA6 gets worse than 10L/100KLMS fuel economy.
Very little traffic around to slow us down, almost felt like we were on closed roads just for us.The roads around Bena & the run from Trafalgor to Korumburra was the most fun I have had in this MX5.
Yes we did this run today, you wouldn't think so looking at this photo at Mt Baw Baw.

Re: Mystery Tour of Gippsland - 14th Jan 2012
It was a great "top down" day.
A little light drizzle at the start and sunscreen by the end.
The run up to the clouds (Mount Baw Baw) and back down was challenging with a little leaf litter and other obstacles on the road.
We lucked onto a day where nearly all the traffic was heading the other way and the few we caught were kind enough to move over.
Thanks for the company 91 Malibu, a shared experience we will remember for a fair while.
