Thanks for all the replies, Tony I appreciate the read up. Once ready it seems ill be running the rs3 tyres with roughly 1.5 degrees of negative camber (thanks.Ben)

no idea on the legality of it but you can get 245 40 15 tyres from avon. they cost a bomb and have a utqg of 20 but they are wide. if not then you could get 235 50 15 r888's.

there is some talk in the states of petitioning a couple of tyre makers to make a more mx5 friendly 245 40 road tyre. it will be a while off though.
