I should point out that the first photo is the filter blank that goes in place of the filter, with the outlet and return connectors.

The second is of the filter relocation plate - you can see the two little bolts where you can plug in the oil gauge senders. The two connectors you see are additional Speed Flow fittings (we changed these to get the right angles we wanted for the mounting).

The final pic is of course of the completed installation. Cooler in the firewall cavity; filter relocation at the strut brace. You can't see the blanking plate, and I hadn't fitted the hose clips to tidy things up yet at the time.

This installation is of course very "economical / compact" in its run. Lots of hose left over. I did consider removing a foglight and mounting it behind there and a bunch of other locations but I was concerned about it being too exposed, so I deferred to the Mania location and based on the windscreen fogging...can safely assume it is dispersing heat.

On the Putty Rd run we will have to organise someone who has a proper camera and who knows how to use it, including some Macro shots, it truly looks fantastic in real life, and as Paul F says, quality is through the roof. Well designed also, much bigger fittings than regular Banjos for more oil flow, good quality hose, crazy nice machining, double 'O' rings rather than single to seal the filter cover etc.

Quite a few things have been added over the last few months!

Garage Vary front lip, SE rear lip and winglets, Mazdaspeed rear spoiler...all rattle-canned black.

And a respray! I botched a touch up job when my (poorly maintained) spray gun started to splutter...not enough time to redo it so I'll just get it resprayed.

So after watching just about everyone else doing a respray...I sent Apu into C&A Smash in Dural to have all the dings and scrapes (thanks to the kids), a bit of rust, and the absolutely crap touchup cleaned up.

Dropped Apu off before I took off the Melbourne for the Grand Prix...you can't see the massive scrape on the GV lip...that's being fixed with K&H Chip and Stone Guard paint. Rattle can is best since I expect to scrape it again at some point...

The guys have been great - very patient with me popping in unannounced and taking pics. I would have been happy with a "mask and spray" but they've taken off all the trim (except the soft top) and both ends, and the windscreen is also being replaced.

I'm glad they're taking their time...well, kind off - sick of driving the the back-up car... Hopefully Apu will be back in business next week! Then it's time to fit the Project G Side G-Fusers!

Tip: when mounting the side skirts ignore the online instructions, due to the weight reduction the mounting points have been effected
