Coolant rerout, Will this work

Postby olboy » Sat Jan 07, 2012 9:11 pm

I have just done a coolant rerout by running a pipe from the back of the head to
the top of the radiator as per lots of people have done
What is different is that I have used the original thermo housing at the front
and Teed into the rad hose just before the radiator
I am taking full flow from both end of the head with 2 thermo's
Any comments !

What opening temp is the rear thermostat?

The only thing I can see as a concern would be the radiator top hose and radiator itself as it's being fed coolant that has not been cooled down by the heater core or re-mixing from the front of the engine, but if both items are in good condition then it is of little or no concern.
