Hi.
Contact exotic exhausts in Sumner Park here in Brisbane they use a lot of magnaflow product. Speak to Simon they are very good at what they do.

I just got a quote (NOT from exotic) for a Magnaflow cat back supply only--$1300.00,

This is for a set up that retails for $489.00 in most of Magnaflows recomended retailers in the US.---(p&p inc in the USA)

Given that the frieght may be $200 ----------------------?.

I'll never buy through the web again--honest

$1,300 is ridiculous. For that price, even a complete system from headers to tip can be had for cheaper.

I don't understand your last comment.

Did you find this one?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MIATA-MX5-90-97-MagnaFlow-Cat-Back-Exhaust-15715-/150664311898?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AMiata&vxp=mtr&hash=item23144af45a

Works out cheaper than buying separate parts and getting custom-made/fitted pipes.

My fave exhaust shop closed down a few years ago, so last time I took it to Right Price Exhaust at Slacks Creek and they did a great job with custom pipes.

I was going to use Pipewerx over in Browns Plains as he has a top reputation.

:D Thanks for that.

Reference is to the complaining retaiers like Harvey who bitch about tax avoidance by the scumbags who traitorously purchase goods from overseas sellers who flog thier wares via the heathen internet which leads me too, thanks for the Fleeeeebay link , nope I missed that one.

Just had a second look--"NOT AVAILABLE IN AUSTRALIA" and on a third look I can't find on reseller of Magnaflow product who will supply direct to Australia in fact most state that they wont.

So unless theres a reseller in AUS that can put the right price on them I'd guess the genius Magnaflow and thier greedy suppliers aren't going to be flogging many cat-backs here.

I have talked to Aaron at Rob Bliss in Geebung and they will put a 2 1/4" manifold back including a 200 cel metalcat , on the car , for $650.00.

At this point I suggest that Magnaflop eat drood and die.

Ah damn, sorry, on the listing page it looked like the seller ships here.

$650 is a good price.

If you are REALLY hung up on Magnaflow, then buy a muffler separately and bring it to the exhaust shop to fit it, and the rest.

Archer's used to do good work many years ago down GC, no idea if they are still around.

Hey , who would have picked it . I went through a halfdozen more US suppliers on a different criterea search and found a few that do ship here , ha -with shipping costs starting at around $575.00 ----idiots.

The Fagnaflop seemed like a good one stop affordable DIY solution to a tired exhaust situation.

I had a look at SMB as I used one of thier turbo backs on a WRX I had and it was primo but at $1160.00 for a cat back in a car thats not going to play on the track and redbooks at about $8K , ah hem (+$640 for the cat) I dont think so.

I left my Magnaflow rear muffler with Simon earlier this week as I had the standard rear muffler fitted again. I must be getting old. Anyway if you want a Magnaflow rear muffler they could probably do a good deal on my old one. They have always been helpful and accommodating unlike most exhaust places.

Cheers

Combined with 2.5" mid pipe and a set of their custom extractors yeah!!

With the stock muffler it's pretty good though. :)

Thanks again , I'm having a rethink I might just replace the OE cat with a 2" 200cel metal jobby and leave the rest alone , the left over money can go on new rotors and pads when they're due or towards YellowSpeed coilovers which is the only other mod I'm likely to do.

I'm going to see Simon from Exotic Exhausts in the morning. Basho, do you still want the Magnaflow or you ok if I ask for it?
