Awesome.
Got the passenger side engine mount bracket done today.
And made a start on the drivers side bracket
Then I took a few pics of the man cave where I've been making all the parts for the swap.

That oil filter issue has come up with all the other "Kliata" swaps I have seen on the interwebz. Seems like an easy fix with a remote filter mounting kit...?
Looks good so far. What intake are you going to use? Custom? I seem to recall one of the others using modified GSXR1100 TB's on a custom mani...?

Thanks guys, I've been doing machining as a hobby for many years hence all the machines. I'm also looking for something I can make and sell to make a bit of money. Any suggestions?

I'd love to go ITB's but I can't see how they'd fit under the stock bonnet. At the moment I'm planning on making a custom manifold using the stock intake flanges cut down to about 30mm high and welding on my own intake runners and plenum. The throttle body is a very weird shape because the original manifold had that Mazda VICS system so I might use a throttle from another car.
The oil filter fix isn't too difficult as you point out, I think I'll make my own relocation setup
It looks like I won't have to go dry sump because there's room for a decent size normal sump.

mustang 4.6 v8 throttle bodies are cheap as chups and about 70mm i think.

I think I could live with a small bonnet mod for ITBs ;)

I was away for Christmas but now I'm back and I'm aiming to have the car on the road by the end of the month. There are a lot of parts in progress at the moment including the sump, intake manifold and oil filter relocation plates.
Engine mount bolted to block
Intake manifold in progress. The flanges have been milled to height and I've made 6 aluminium stubs to weld on.
Oil filter relocation plates and hose barbs. I'm welding them on because I don't have a big enough tap for a 5/8" barbed fitting.
Air conditioning delete
This fitting seized when it was nearly undone, then I managed to partially round off the aluminium nut
Sump nearly done, it's a bit further along than this because I took the photos this morning.
36-1 wheel I made to fit the stock pulley. I have to make another because it slipped on the dividing head as I was machining it I turned off the stock 6 tooth wheel then TIG welded on a ring and cut 36 teeth in it. I should have cut the teeth when it was mounted to the pulley rather than just holding the ring in the chuck.
I hope there will be many updates in the next few days.

Today I almost finished the sump. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get the oil pickup finished so I can install them both on the engine. I might also be able to finish the oil filter relocation plates.
