has anyone tried one of these OBX torsen units?

Seems to good to be true, probably is but i thought id ask.
Cheers,
Dale

That is another option.
What is the difference between the T1 torsen and the T2 torsen?

Hm... any reason why there are different prices for what seems to be the same product? (condition? age?... none of which are written on the ad)
I'm also confused about the fact that their T2s are more expensive than T1s... which is different from the norm as all the articles says that T1 is more expensive to produce.
Reg - did you end up getting a T2 LSD from these guys? (I'm seriously thinking of one myself so might coordinate a GB)

Onto it mate - I've messaged the seller to see whether it'll be worthwhile for a GB (discount on products and/or shipping).
Once I hear back from him/her, I'll get an EOI going. I think quite a few of us have been saying that we want a LSD for a while now and Xmas is just around the corner

T1 is more expensive to make, but it's also not as strong and therefore less sought after.
Lower demand = Lower prices.

From what I've read the Type 1 is capable of a much higher Torque Bias Ratio than the T2.
BUT in an MX5 application they are both around 2.5 or so.
Basically, different ways to do the same thing.

Re: EBay Toren Diff
looks like i'll be able to give a report on the obx diff sometime in the near future, apparently my son just bought one of these for his 13b turbo RX7,that should test it out.he's usually in a hurry with everything.
as an aside I recently bought some OBX cams from a different (not ebay) seller which arrived in 6 days from california.the machining on these looked good to the eye,I'll stick them in my lathe and check them for runout, concentricity and size when I get a chance ,dont know about the metallurgy.(I did follow a few online threads before buying, and do have a spare head and motor if it all goes !@#$%^ed )

Re: EBay Toren Diff
After driving an NC with a LSD diff in it on the weekend... (what a blast!)
I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a T1 Torsen diff today for my NA8!
