Miata roadster grill good?
The black mesh grill for $30 from Miata Roadster sounds good. Has anyone bought one and can report on it? How much was freight and how long to wait?

Hey Silvia, are you in Sydney? If so, perhaps we can combine postage. Or do it anyway even if you're elsewhere, would still be cheaper probably.

I'm in if you guys are! One of you guys want to arrange a GB? I have my hands full already.
Marty - not sure where Silvia is but if it's two of us here, we can do it!

Silvia is parked in Brisbane, but should be able to work out something..
I've emailed to ask about post cost (for one) but very happy to join in a group buy....seems a good thing?

Check Ben Sale's Garage thread, I am sure that he made one of these.

Re: Miata roadster grill good?
thanks Greg, interesting reading. I've got a temporary guard in place using Gutter Guard and judging by the hassle that was ,cutting to shape and fixing and all, I think if the US one comes in under $50 that would save a lot of work. Remember the one you showed was with free mesh and you have to buy it by the roll usually, and really I'd rather just open a box......

Re: Miata roadster grill good?
Since I made the one linked, I'll chime in.
I made mine about 2 years ago without any issues.
They are easy to make with very basic tools.
Hardest part is 1. buying the parts, 2. cutting the template
Is it worth the effort, depends on how much money you have to waste on something you will barely see.

Re: Miata roadster grill good?
For me I don't need it seen. Up here I have visions of a large cane toad on the road at 110k's, hearing the thump and watching the coolant dribble down onto the road
My radiator bears enough scars to warrant the Gutter Guard I have there now - I'm just moving up in the world.
Memories of the bird I had jammed in the scoop of my Forester XT too......
