Softtop gap with A-pillar causing excessive windnoise

Hey guys, I'm wondering whether anyone knows how to fix this problem...

I know that a convertible is probably not the best start but I so notice that there's alot more wind noise coming through my SP when compared to my NB8A. Furthermore, there is also a noticible height difference between the top of the A pillar and where the softtop comes into contact with it (rubber)

Is there anything that I can do to rectify this? Tighten the latches? Move the latches? Adjust the softtop or even change all the rubber tubes?...

There are little hex turnbuckles in the latches.

Open the latch, you'll see a littel plastic thing in the centre.

Pry this open (it hinges at the back) and you'll see the hex adjuster Manga mentioned.

twist this to adjust how harrd the latch grabs the windscreen mount.

Be careful not to overtighten, too much might break something.

Other than tightening the clip, do I need to adjust the brackets themselves (if that's even possible)..

If windnoise is caused by a gap in the rubber seal at the A pillar, I have a cure that has worked with many cars including my current MX 5. In frameless doors often the problem is caused by closing the door by pulling on the window and causing it to lean in slightly. Get some thin rope or plastic tube about 5mm thick and pulling back the rubber from the frame feed the rope into the gap. The idea is to push the rubber seal a little firmer against the glass and so seal any gap.
It is a very effective and cheap remedy...let us know if it works for you too :wink:
