haha, yeah they make for a lot of shifting. I drove tim's (sabetour's) SC one - it had 6 speed and yeah, blitzed through the gears!

So, I picked the wreck up last Friday the 4th and took it to my mate’s work. The boss was kind enough to lend us some space whilst we stripped the car. We got started and about an hour later I remembered to start taking some photos!

Things I learnt from stripping the car:
Take everything apart at the time! Some components we thought would be easier to get off once they were out of the car. For example, dropping the whole rear sub-frame does not make getting the rear suspension/ drive train components disassembled easier, although it may save a little bit of time at that instant!
Looms are a pain
Pry bars, impact drivers and fork lifts are awesome

A massive thanks to my mates Nick and Patrick for helping me out! And Anode Engineering for giving us the space we needed!

So, i haven't done too much, to the car except put the front sway bar off the wreck in. Turns in heaps better now. Will be fitting some advan AO48's at some point so that should be interesting. Will keep them for spirited driving/track only haha.

Have been figuring out some of the wiring for the ecu and it doesn't look too bad. Over the next few weeks i'll be measuring the car up for the cage. Hoping to get it started just before christmas. The engine will most likely go in after the cage.

Not much has been happening - just a bit of driving. I did put the front sway bar in and a set of advan ao48's on - Never had so much grip!!!! Really notice the lack of power on corner exit now.

I'll start CAD'ing up some rear hoop profiles hopefully on Thursday night and will remove most of the rear parcel shelf over the weekend. Worse comes to worse, i'll have an epic roll bar haha.

Thanks to Andy from Adaptronic, I have some new ecu connections so I can redo that patch loom for the NA6 loom! So will do that sometime this weekend too and wire up the NA8 TPS at some point.


on another note... Someone buy my B6 engine (+ all the other stuff I have for sale!!)!!!!

Does that verticals of that rollbar on the BRG bolt into the floor and the bracing go through the parcel shelf and into the boot?

I think mine's the same, its made by Cusco. Nice to see it still intact after the roll.

Anyways, re. your Tighes cams and engine work.. are you achieving 130whp from just the cams, extractors, intake and ECU? have you got any headwork done?

Plans for a new ecu are down the line , maybe middle of next year.I am just going to run the haltech for a while.... look at a few options for a replacement one.

And sh*t yeah i am excited!!! :mrgreen:

Spikes, I dont think it was a cusco one as I thought the main hoop would have had a large OD. Main hoop went to the floor, and rear supports through the firewall. Was all welded in.

The engine has slightly higher compression i think, around 9.8:1. Other than that, it has the cams, ecu, CAI and headers + exhaust - pretty basic stuff. You can see the tune before the cams got put in - they made the most difference.

Very keen to see what u do with ur rollcage.. Im gonna do a half cage with x bar, harness bar and door bars..

Should be sick once everything is done :) oh and itbs.. u know u want to ;)

I'll try and keep this up to date with cage info. If I can't do the front legs, i'll probably do something similar to what you're planing. Know who you're going to get yours do with yet?
