Wet passenger feet

Postby okz00k » Mon Nov 28, 2011 11:51 am

In my 1998 NB, after heavy rain, and also after the aircon has been on for a while, water drips onto the passenger's feet.

Obviously there is a drain blocked, but I don't know how to find it to clear it. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If you put the top down at the top of the doors there is drains that run down to the bottom of the door, maybe those are blocked, also check the drain behind the seatbelt tower near the edge of the car.

Hi Em,
Was there a result to this issue?
Greg.

Well that didn't go to where it was directed!
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

Also, on the NA8 at least, cabin air is drawn in from from a vent in the windscreen cowl immediately above passenger footwell. Vent has a plastic cover over it which channels water from bootom of windscreen/ back of bonnet. Leaves & other debris often collect under the plastic cover - worth removing cover & cleaning out under there if it looks like it needs it as the debris can trap water.

+1 on the aircon drain hose. It's only secured together using friction and can be easily be kicked away and disconnected.

It's easily fixed by cable ties.
