Since installing coilovers the roof makes all sorts of noises when going over bumps at reasonable speed. Mainly a thud noise which is quite loud. This has probably been covered but i couldn't find anything.
Any fixes?

Not unknown to happen - Mazda Technical Service Bulletins from 27/6/06 onwards might help: http://www.miata.net:80/garage/tsb/

Fixed - The rubber grommets on either side tend to eventually wear over time and get smaller producing a loose roof hence the noise. I wrapped duck tape around a few times on either side.. problem solved.
