A belated update.......I replaced the bush on mine, renewed the turret oil and reasssembled. Made practically no difference. Took it to my friendly Mazda dealer, they checked the gearbox oil and found it to be too thick - around 85W-90. When I had it replaced last year I was told it was 75W90. It was shifting fine until the track day, then gradually got worse in the few weeks after. Mazda said it should have 75W-80 (doesn't say that in my owners manual though). Anyway they replaced the oil and its 90% back to being great again. Still a bit baulky when cold but not too bad. Is occasionally a little bit "gummy" on an occasional shift but nothing too bad. Seems like the heat of the track day may have caused the oil to go bad???? Don't have any other explanation.

Thanks Paul, might give the Wynns or something similar a go. Otherwise if I drain the gearbox again I may get rid of the remnants of the old oil & it may improve once more. Don't want to spend too long on it though, it shouldn't be this difficult!!
Cheers, Mike
