Help on tire size choice 205's or 225's
Hi all
Iv bought a set of 15x8 6UL's and am having a hard time deciding on what size tire/brand to run three options im looking at are
The Hankook ventus Rs3 in a 225/45/15
or
Federal 595 RSR 205/50/15 (I have feddies on my car now and I love them)
or
Dunlop direzza sport Z1 starspec 205/50/15
I want to get decent (I know im not going to 25k out of them, 18-20 would be nice) life out of them, and I dont want to have to run a ridicules amount of camber also
Any suggestions would be really appreciated
Cheers eren

You will need to import these though, not available locally

Ok so i know i just posted this, then i looked up Ozzytires and found nitto's on special , so i just bit the bullet and bought a set of 205/50/15 nitto nt01's for $138 each, now that is not bad for price, n im sort of on a budget and the closest i was going to get would have been the feddies!
Ozzy tires if anyone is interested
Cheers for the help guys!

Thanks for posting this, just ordered 4 as well. I've needed to replace my well used R888's for a little while now and wanted to try the Nitto's as they're suppose to be the same compound as the Toyo's. At that price it's a no brainer.

I dont know what to say, but I had to remember if im drunk or not after reading that. Im not, and still cannot make sense of that sentance.
Was it intended to sound like 'have you even gone as far as to etc' Or however that thing goes?

Re: Help on tire size choice 205's or 225's
Pretty sure I was reading a thread on cr.net about how 225's aren't necessarily better than 205's on a 8" just because they are wider...can't remember what thread it was though
And what place in Aus sells the RS3's?

With a wear rating only 100. Dunno if paying $20 more for KU36s might have been a better option.
I'm getting NT01s for my next tyres in 205/50R15 also, but I only drive the car 10-12,000km per year. That'll be their life I reckon.

These Nitto NT01s look like a nice & cheap option for supersprints. Shame they're not (yet) on the CAMS-approved Production Car Tyre List.
