Re: Cosworth camshafts for NC
Thanks for all the constructive inputs... I may have a crack at the cams + ECU and see how it goes, installation and tuning won't be a problem for me as I've got mates to help with the install and tune..... Fingers crossed the car will still run after lol!

Is this incorrect? Sorry if it is.

Cool. That's my understanding as well Dann. Would love to know if there is someone outside of the MX5cartalk world (but it Australia) that has done both ECU and cams.
Cheers,
Danny

Yeah, I would have thought some of the local race prepped NC's could have had different cams... They certainly run stand alone aftermarket ECU's.
Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever.

I would imagine that race NCs have full standalones that control engine only. As they wouldnt mind losing central lockling etc etc or whatever else the ecu runs.

If you look hard enough you will find at least one road car that is running a parallel ecu ...

Ok. Anyways, I think the point is that many can tell op what to expect from these cams by looking at the spes, and an aftermarket ecu will not be needed but is preffered.

I have access to a few piggybacks, might try them out and see what happens...
