Just wondering, a lot of the american forums say that due to the removal of the 1st Cat these systems are not road legal? just wondering if that was the case out here?
Also wondering, a few people have said even when matched with the roadster sport mid pipe and Q exhaust the whole setup can be too loud? Just wanted to know peoples thoughts? and experiences? There are a few videos on the net, but its hard to gauge just how loud it is.
Cheers,
Matt

Re: Roadstersport Headers
Hey Matt.
The removal of the first cat makes the system illegal in NSW..but noone will really know.
I wouldn't bother with the mid pipe, the std one is fine, just needs a bung welded in for the O2 sensor.
I have the headers, std mid pipe and Q muffler and the system is plenty quiet enough, the only downside is that there are some harmonics generated now and then at low revs that cause the panels behind the seats to buzz.
Easily cured by just dropping back a gear and not letting the engine get anywhere near labouring.
Quite happy for you to have a listen anytime.

Re: Roadstersport Headers
Hey Matt
I've got the RS mid and Q muffler at the moment (sounds great, but I want more sound/power). I should have the header in within a few weeks. I'll make a comparison video and you can hear at a future meet if you like.

cheers guys, just really want to know its right before i get it! That comparison video sounds like a great idea.
The baffles do make a noticeable difference?
and... in NSW even though nobody would really notice, will it still pass its emissions for a pink-slip / roadworthy?

Re: Roadstersport Headers
Matt, The extra baffles are not required on the RS Q.
Mine is a daily drive and gets plenty of highway cruising over Syd/Melb distances and dear has never complained of the noise.
