Maybe its not 949...

Basically Sav from MT who wons TSE builds them, and they are sold on miataroadster or 949 of somewhere where theres more webtraffic than TSE. They are 300USD+ shipping.

I have enough jdm crap on my car now that you wouldn't need a single object added! I'll organise a drive soon when uni ends, since.I'm running the more common ron98.

Small update.

I redid the under dash wiring, fixed some vibrations etc.

Fitted a new turbosmart boost guage in the right hand eyeball vent. Looks great. Wired in line with the dash lights so it dims with the dash. Ill post photos soon enough.

A couple of things.

I ran my shift light earth to the fuel guage earth. It didnt like it. Popped a resistor. Weird I know. New resistor fixed it.
Also just checked the lifter clearances. Cylinder #2 exhaust side, both lifter clearances at 5 thou too loose. Nice and tappety. Need new shims there.

Also the boost guage answered a couple questions.
I seem to have a bit of a power deficiency at the moment. At least some of it is filthy air filter. Turns out im losing over 1psi at full rpm. Which is 1/14th of the power. Around 10HP!

So I need a new one. Its high on the list.

Dann,
Yes a boost gague and AFR (wide band ) gauge is great to, if you don't have them you are only guessing. Logs are great but gauges are real time.
Well done.
Ted
Why didn't I buy one years ago?
NA8 Ceramic coated headers, Hi flow cat, 2.5”system, M45 SC 150/62.5 8psi, Dual TB, IC & Adaptronic ECU.

Thought Id throw up some photos of some bits Im making.

Im doing a short run of these. The first couple I made dont look great, The pipe is heavily galvanised, and really needs a very very good clean to get nice clean welds. This is one from this arvo.

My welding table
Image

Some lobster back bends
Image

Where they bolt to the engine
Image

Fitment on a dummy engine, the water spout to the left is a factory front thermostat cover, it bolts straight on, and the thermostat even fits perfectly.
Image

Fitment in a real engine bay, you can see it clears the engine, the intake manifold and all of the brake and clutch lines.
Image

This shows where the pipe comes to, obviously for this conversion you replace this rear water spout with the front thermostat cover, just like the photo, 2 photos above shows.
Image

Front fitment, this is a poor picture but it clears everything, and allows you to just cut the stock hose into an L bend and run it straight down to the reroute pipe. It looks like the metal pipe outlet is not aiming at the radiator inlet, but it is.
Image

Complete pipe.
Image

If you want one or something PM me, I have a few now.
