The Fujitsubo has been fitted and sounds great.

Watanabe F8Fs in 15x6.5 wrapped in Falken Azenis fitted and driving well.
Alignment done, 1.5 degrees camber all around, 1mm toe front and 1.5mm toe rear. Handling nicely.

Changed the oil for a semi-synth 15w40 and a bottle of Lifter Free, which has done a sterling job of quieting the lifter rattles.
Changed the transmission oil and filled the turret, gear shift is much smoother.

It's a happy car!

Purchased: Koni Yellows and King springs.
On their way: Front and rear adjustable Signature swaybars.
Gotta buy some: Racing Beat endlinks.

I sense my suspension guy having a major install day in the near future. :)

Heh, it does seem to be turning out that way. Great minds and all that. :)

Brown and Davis rollbar purchased and fitted. It's not as hard as it looks, and it doesn't even look very hard. :)

Upper shift boot replaced, so now I don't get the hot hand after 20 minutes of driving. I have a lower one to replace as well, but being foolish I didn't look up on the internet how to fit it before I went to do it. Not as hard as it looks either, it turns out.

Also, the car got a nice polish so it's shinier than it has possibly ever been. Now would be a good time for a photo to demonstrate this, but I suck. Maybe later. :)

Konis and King Springs fitted, along with the front swaybar. That was a long afternoon, although I could probably do it in half the time now.

The car feels much better. It's a little stiffer, but it handles bumps in the road with much more aplomb. No more gritting my teeth going over cobblestones. Basically, it's tighter and more comfortable at the same time! Lovely. I'm just waiting for the front shocks to settle in now, the front is still jacked way in the air and it looks a little ridiculous. It's going to end up at basically stock height though, maybe a smidge lower. I don't really care for creeping over gutters. :)

I didn't get around to fitting the new rear swaybar (it was getting late and I'm lazy...), but the car feels OK with just the stock one. It understeers a little at steady state now, which is actually what I was after. I think I'm going to leave it for a week and decide what I think, then fit the rear swaybar and see how it changes.

I've still got a lot of stuff to fit:
-New front rotors, and front and rear pads.
-Lower shift boot.
-Rear swaybar.
-New window for soft top.

It has been some time since I last posted, but Easter weekend seemed like a good time to work on the car.

Image

-Replaced rusty old brake rotors with shiny new ones front and rear. Stock NA6 size.
-Replaced nasty old brake pads with greeny new EBC Greenstuffs. Stops good.
-Flushed and bled brakes lines with fresh Super DOT4 fluid. Stops gooder.
-Changed engine oil from semi-synth to full synth. Castrol Edge 0w-40 (happened to be on special). Engine is now super smooth and quiet.
-Changed transmission turret oil. Gear shift is much smoother now, although I think next time I may spring for a full synth high quality transmission oil too.
-Changed lower shift boot on the gear stick. I had done the top one some time ago, but never got around to the bottom one. No noticeable change, but it'll keep the oil clean. :)

And the pièce de résistance, a Sparco Sprint V. Now my head doesn't hit the roof over speed bumps, and I can actually see the top of my speedo. And it seems to be much more comfortable for my body shape than the stockies. Very happy. :)

Now if only the weather would stop being bollocks so that my car would stay shiny for more than 12 hours after I wash it... :P

Glad I could help out with the seat, I think you'll love it even more at sandown!

Replacement NB soft top has arrived. Pics to follow after I fit it. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. :)
