M2, actually 997-16125 is the Koito part number, so while it may not help the passive consumer, it should help the active consumer.

the Koito number is most unlikely to be of any value. The makers engineering numbers may have no connection with customer ordering numbers nor the spare part numbers that the car maker uses. To make it even more complicated the lenses are never sold as spare parts and whilst they have a number as a component they are merely a part of an assembly. The subject of ordering numbers is actually very complicated in that so many in the supply chain allocate part numbers for components and assemblies and the number that counts in the end is the one used by the spare parts supplier like Mazda.

When I posted the headlight info yesterday, I'd already Googled & found documents linking Koito parts numbers to vehicle manufacturer part numbers, & indicated accordingly that there were Google hits to be found.

Btw, 997-16125 is not from the lens, it's from the reflector, as also indicated in my post.
