On the quality super cat tyres....
I think I did a 1:17.1 on the long track, but i recon there is at least another 2-3 seconds to come off that if I could actually see the corner in the bowl.
I did a 1:04.7 on the short track, but I have done 59.997 on the A050s, but i recon there is more time there as well because I got Carl (instructor) to show me the best line in the hairpin at the top of the hill.
Si.

Re: Si.G's NA6
It's really that dark over there?! I have never been on the long track at night...would love to give it a crack!
Kolb is a brilliant corner to get right. With the camber and the dip mid corner you can really get some speed up through there.
I can imagine coming off the sweeper and over the top of the hill (past where you turn right for the short track) must be a thrill as you transition from the light to the dark through a flat out and blind corner!
Good times, decent tyres are always worth a couple of seconds and then it is just down to seat time...seat time...seat time...

Time to fit some pencil beam spotlights to the rollbar?
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I put the stopwatch on, I wanted to see how much quicker you were with the new engine compared to an older youtube clip ... I gave uprecording after I realised you were sideways the entire time.

I was thinking to myself at the end of the day how competitive class B was until I remembered Simon was sideways for his runs

I tried a none sideways run, it was not really any faster, about 0.4 seconds faster than the fastest sideways run. Doing a normal run, you just had to wait an age to pick up the the throttle out of the corners and the engine dropped out of the power band, so better to keep it up there near the limiter

Re: Si.G's NA6
I have the head back from the machine shop !!! Cost about $200 less than expected too, so bonus. Had new guides in, valve seat re-cut and re-faced. Started putting it back together today, in between baby duties
Exhaust side is finished.
I have managed to get some cams from a very reliable source, but the grid in unknown, so a bit of a gamble. Not sure about the duration, but check out the lift
Stock vs New Cams
The new cams only just spin in the head
I am looking forward to getting it finished soon, and listening to my new luppy idle

Looks like it is starting to come together. Should be easy enough to measure the duration and lift so you can indentify the grind.
NA8 - BP4W IHI VJ35, 3.9 Torsen2, Adaptronic - SOLD
NB8A - mostly stock for now
