So I smashed my front lip recently into about 5 pieces. Plastic welding will cost about the same as getting a new one. So probably going to cable tie it back together until I replace it.

So question. OEM lip this time around, or another Garage Vary? I'd like to get another GV but I love the OEM one as well, since I'm planning on buying the rear oem lip anyway... I can buy the front and rear together for cheap.

Opinions?

GV OR OEM????

wil you promise not to smash either, that is the key ;) My vote goes for the OEM lip to match.

I prefer the look of the OEM lip personally. Either that or keep the drifter-spec cable-tied GV. :P

What exactly is different about the touge run to gv? To me they look identical to me lol

Lol drift stitches... that's what I'll be doing this weekend haha. What colours? I'm thinking bright yellow or green.

Pretty sure the genuine GV is poly as well though, time's I've seem Josh's scrape it does bend and flex out of teh way.

But much like anything (even the Togue Run I would presume) give it a hard sudden impact and it will still likely break.

Nik's right, mine was polyurethane as well. The GV comes in Poly and FRP. Though after looking at mine when it snapped, it looks like ABS plastic. Not sure the difference though. I'll take photos of the damage later.

HELLS YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Freaking Immobiliser is OUT of the car now!!!!! Gah, it is AMAZING to be able to turn the key and hear the car start. Yes, I've not been able to do that before. Since I bought the car, that stupid alarm system has pissed me off but I don't know ANYTHING about electronics so I never touched it.
Thanks goes to Chris (noddi) for helping me out. Couldn't have done it without you dude.
Pics of this piece of crap to come.

In other news, I've decided to ring around tomorrow and gets some quotes for the front lip. Apparently plastic welding may actually be a lot cheaper than I've been told. So if that works out, everything will be sweet!!! If not, I'll cable tie stitch it back together and order in a set of front and rear oem lips.
So things are all good.
When the phone finally finishes charging, I'll take a couple of pics of the front lip for people to see and comment on about repairs. So yeah, all good!

On a final note, OMG I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED TYRES BAD!!!!!!! So here's hoping I find a job asap. Fingers crossed.
