Yeah hes an old school friend. Wonder how I got brought up ^^, since I don't have that much to do with him these days.

Think it was Martin, worked for NRMA. Came into work to talk about cars etc cos he saw mine parked outside. Said he had a friend with a blue one and the same wheels, different color and I had just finished reading your thread killing time at work lol :lol:

After a hard weeks work I've managed to score a few hours to myself... So what do I do?

I install my carbon fiber front lip, rear lip and spoiler. It took 3 months to arrive, and another 2 weeks until I had enough time to put it on!! I was chewing my lip the entire time!

Front lip was two bolts and nuts + 6 self tapping screws.

Rear lip was all bolts and nuts, I had to drill the holes myself in the bumper.

For the spoiler I have not had the guts to drill a hole so I got the stickiest double sided adhesive pads I could find (the stuff used to hold on your rear view mirror) and I've used that. I'm going to let it set for a while and see how it goes. So far it seems bloody strong, but if necessary i'll chuck a few self tapping screws in... Hopefully before it flies off behind me on the high way!

I love the carbon fibre texture but I don't know if it actually looks good on my car.. i'm in two minds whether to get it painted when I get the respray, or whether to just leave as is. You can't really tell its CF from the pics, but it's definitely noticeable close up!

CF spoiler looks good. Another reason to screw it could be a lowlife literally ripping it off. Though that's unlikely unless the car is left somewhere like a train station or similar carparks where these scum steal bits and bobs.

It would be aa shame to paint it.

UPDATE: I may be clinically obsessed with my car... :shock:

MORE PHOTO's! I don't know where they keep coming from but there are hundreds!

I zipped through to thornleigh brick pit to meet some mates a couple weeks back. Had some time to kill so went for a walk, climbed the tallest thing I could find and took a pic. Mind you I wasn't thinking of the approaching lightning storm when I climbed the metal pole on the play equipment on TOP of the hill...

I finally made the trip to mania for the first time. I must say I was impressed with their showroom, having never seen it before, and their service. Good show!

The intake sounds so fierce - its such a nice note which reverberates around the cabin; I would highly recommend to any one who does not have regular hang overs.. =)

Last Sunday I had a great drive with my gf down to wisemans ferry. Very romantic having lunch looking overlooking scenery such as this.

Very fun driving up and down it UNTIL I was stuck on the way back behind (in a single lane road):

1) a Hilux hauling furniture...
2) a daewoo hauling all its got left..
3) a white camry doing 50km in a 90 zone, and 40 in a 60 zone....!!!! :twisted:

(this was the hardest one to get past because all the cars behind were bunched so close you couldn't safely dart in-between them if there was an oncoming car
4) a horse float...
5) a caravan...

All in a bloody row!
My luck was diminishing but mid-afternoon but I did enjoy it regardless! I had the top down for the first time in months!
I'm happy with the interior now. The mazdaspeed seats have proved their worth.

My lip has stood up to the elements.

My spoiler is still on after heavy rain and high speeds (don't jinx me!!!) with just the double sided sticky stuff.
My rear soft top window needs to be replaced. Home DIY job on the list of things to do.
Looking for extractors and exhaust now.
Clutch is after that and respray after that.

All in all i'm having a ball with this car. I've spent way tooooo much but i've had so much fun with it. Hence all the photos. I can't help it XD

I think she's jealous of the car... can't blame her I would be =) :wink:
