And... I just won a Nakamae console.

End bid (mine) equated to AU$12.36 hehehe.

Probably 6 weeks away.

I also have the gear surround from an RX7 which will line up with an NA tombstone perfectly and solve the Nakamae/Tombstone dilemma everyone has. Also good as the RX7 surround and matching handbrake boot cost me a grand total of $35.

Works out a bit more (just over $100) with all the normal fees, shipping etc. So cheap for a Nakamae though! And I really like this style.

I actually got it for opening bid. I think everyone in Japan was asleep.

Would you mind if I had a look at this in person and made a stencil of the dimensions? I'd love to buy some carpet from spotlight and make one of these consoles myself lol

No problems at all Josh.

I was going to do the exact same thing before I managed to nab this one so cheaply!

I was being even cheaper though... I was waiting for some good black carpet off-cuts from one of our building sites. Heheh.

What a bloody bargain! That beats out on any of my bargains and I think I've gotten one or two over time... great score!

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

So a little bit has been going on, but mainly just maintenance.

As she lives outside permanently, there was A LOT of oxidization that had built up. Even with regular care.

This past long weekend we cracked out the random orbital for the first time, and I'm pretty happy with the results. I spent a good couple of days cleaning in and out and then installing some new mats.

As she's rarely so clean (usually being covered in mud ) Nik took some photos for me.

Just noticed that your handbrake might need adjusting and what is that brown gunk near the foot rest.

Yup. :-D Handbrake cable is pretty much completely stretched from motorkhanas. It's on the replace list.

The brown gunk is just reflection. Some red has come back through the black paint where it gets a bit of wear, and as I didn't do the coat strong enough in there.

I really like your interior Pam. Really simple and tasteful.

I have one question though: Is that driver's side floor mat sitting on top of another floor mat?

Thanks Paul. There will be a minor change to the interior in a couple of weeks when I pick up a pair of Mazdaspeed B-Spec seats too. I'm just gathering the cash for them currently.

The mats are indeed on top of other mats at the moment. Double plush power. I've had a pair of standard black mats held in with Velcro which I need to take out at some point. For now it feels like I'm driving with a couple of kittens in the footwell.

Oh, that reminds me. I scored an engine stand cheap off ebay, so now I have something to rebuild the B6 engine I have lying around, ready for when this one dies.

Currently though, my engine is performing beautifully. No smoke, oil eating or anything of the sort. My odometer died a few months back when she flicked over to 400,000k, so I need to replace the gauge cluster soon so I can monitor when I need to change oil etc. Currently there's about 420,000km on her at a guess.

I've sorted out the garage, so once I get a gasket kit, I'll be ready to start some engine work. I need to rebuild the B6... and the MG XPAG engine I have to kick off that rebuild too.

Hi, I have a head gasket set I have not used. Your welcome to it for say $75 posted.
