Quick question about the NA Eunos Roadster fog lamps.
I just bought a set off a mate and fitted them in the driveway today. I'm missing the switch for not but will be collecting it during the week.
Anyway, I noticed that when I put the headlights on, the foggies come on too. Is it normal for them to be piggy backed to the headlights?
However they only come on with headlights, not parkers etc.
I'm a little confused about this since I thought they ran independently to the drivers lights.

Re: NA foggies question!
haha...
Any ideas though? This is complete factory plug and play kit so it can only be wired up one way.
I've never used factory fog lights before so I'm not sure how they work (in terms of button activated, piggy backed to headlamps, run independantly etc)

Re: NA foggies question!
My fogs can be turned on with the parking lights. We might be able to sort out a day to meet up where you can have a look at how mine are wired up if you like

That would be cool but there is only one way to wire these up lol. It's plug and play loom. I have a feeling they must default to piggy back without the switch in place.

Re: NA foggies question!
The way my previous car's have all been wired up, from factory, sounds like this.
You can only turn the foggies on when the headlights are on. The switch simply enables you to turn them off and on while using headlights.
My jeep actually only allowed them to be used when in high beam.
I think you would have to get them rewired to set them up to run independent of headlights like I ended up doing on my Jeep.
Cheers,
Martin.

Fog lights should come on with the park lights so that they cant be switched on wthout the parkers on at least so you cant drive without tail lights on, they usualy stay on with headlights on with either beam also although in fog it is usualy recomended to use on their own.

Re: NA foggies question!
So I borrowed a mates oem fog light switch tonight and tried turning the foggies off and on. Sadly pressing the button did nothing.
This is with the headlights set in the on position. The foggies come on autmatically but do not turn off with the button like they should. I talked to some guys that have them on their cars and they can turn the lights off and on while the headlamps are beaming.
Has anyone else encountered this? What should I be looking for.
Just to say this again to be specific:
-oem foglight kit
-oem wiring loom
-oem relay
-oem earth
etc etc etc....
Basically, This is a plug and play kit and I've basically just plugged it all up to where it needs to go. The lights DO work as they come on with the headlamps.
HOWEVER! with the switch in place, they do nothing. The switch apparently works and does light up but upon using it, nothing happens.
So should I be looking at the switch wiring?
Like I said earlier, yes I'm repeating myself but everything is plugged in correctly and I've gone over it a few times. Things only go in one way.

Re: NA foggies question!
The wiring diagram shows that the fog lights connect/switch via the head lights.
Hope this helps.
