As it happens, I do have one on the passengers side, but my sticker placement ratio isn't quite right yet, so I've only managed 11.2HP. Dammit. :(

I question the performance benefits of these MAZDASPEED additions given that they aren't technically stickers (I'm NOT questioning "Sticker Placement Theory" though).

- Maybe if they had some red in them?

Found this idea on the Mazda-Speed forums for a plaque and thought it was a great idea for our Australian delivered SE cars.

Mazda were able to tell me (after a delay while they checked with Japan) which number my car was into Australia!!

[QUOTE}
Upon further investigations with Mazda Japan, we can provide the following information regarding your MX-5.
- It was the 1st of 6 built on the 25th of March
- It was the 240th SE variant brought into Australia
- It was the 233rd SE Turbo Soft Top with Leather brought into Australia
We trust this information is of some assistance and apologise for the delay in reply.

So here it is: I'll be mounting it on an aluminium plate and attaching with rivets to the firewall after a few coats of UHT clear...

Ok, I've had this one on the car for a while, and haven't shown it because it''s an incredibly personal taste type item.

I bought it, wasn't sure (worried about what others would think), then fitted it because I decided it's my car, and my reasons for making my car look how it does is down to my personal taste, and I actually like it. I've been told that this looks like crap in photographs, but looks ok in real life, which I've found as well, but figure it's down to one shot versus being able to move around and see the whole thing from all angles.

The right and left differ somewhat - the left hand side has red over the normal reversing light "half moon" shape (as opposed to the dark grey that shows on this pic), which with the smoked/tint isn't blindingly obvious on the first glance, but worth considering if symmetry is important to you.

I know that probably 90% of the rest of you will think it's crap, but each to their own. This is my car, and if you hate this look, then don't do it on your car!

IL Motorsports LED tail lights. I like the pattern of the normal tail light in LED - it looks factory, the brake light is stupid bright when used in conjunction with the center light, and I don't have nearly as many tailgating issues. If anyone wants pics with taillights or brakes on, I'll get over the shock, and then post pics

Also, I don't think I'd like this look on any other colour than silver, or titanium at a push - it's a very forgiving shade when it comes to radical changes...

I don't mind it, it contrasts really well. Perhaps consider a 8% (leaving 92% light penetration) tinted vinyl wrap.

It leaves the lights working great, but at a distance appears darker :)

I don't mind the look on Sunlight Silver so you've got a "!!" (two thumbs up) from me.

You're right about not working on other colours though. I bought the clear rear LED brake light for my Titanium but it looked like crap (stuck out like "dog's balls") so I "smoked it" using VHT Nite Shades:

I'm always tempted to give the OEM rear lights a couple of light coats too!

At the end of the day, if you're happy with the look, that's what counts. Personally I love looking at what others have done to their cars, I may not like what I see at times but I have been impressed enough by some modz to do my own and it certainly makes them unique.

Dont hate yourself.

If you like them - its cool.
They seem to have quite a bold black edge which catches my eye first.

I must say in the photos you sent me originally, it looked crap. In person, that's something entirely different  I would almost do this if I could find smoked side markers and indicators. It matches the headlights well when you see it.

EDIT: I just realised you have some spare rear lights now........got room in ya suit case?

The red indicators here I think are moronic at best!

I rekon they look great, the black border and almost monochrome look suit the car perfectly.

This wasn't the next mod I had in mind... got sideswiped by a guy in an old 230E Mercedes who ran a red light. Will post pics of his car later (you should see the state of it!) but nobody is injured fortunately.

Car is going to Impact Panel tomorrow for assessment, the poor thing!
