The key to being quick on track and staying on the black stuff is being smooth, remember that all the controls work with a greater range than on or off. Smoothly off the power and smoothly on to the brakes...smoothly off the brakes and a smooth steering input. As Jackie Stewart said once; 'dont surprise the car' so it remains settled.

Also avoid parking tickets by leaving your windscreen wipers turned to 'fast wipe' whenever you leave your car parked illegally.

You can just get a ticket for the end of each day, and tuck it into the dash at the bottom of the windscreen so that only the day and time shows, not the date (so you can only see TUESDAY 6:23pm) that works every time. I have a mate who only ever bought 7 tickets. :D

Back on topic, I just found I left the handbrake return springs off the rear calipers, fixed it, but the rear pads were dragging pretty hard.. Oops..

TBH I book people who leave dodgey tickets and let the courts decide ;) but.. it would fool some people.

Thought Id throw up a quick update.

Ive been poorer yet busier than Ive expected to be these last few weeks...

So my Totektools AluSync 200 welder is going fantastic, but Ive been short of scrap metal to practice with lately so it hasnt been used in a day or 2.

Anyways 'Noobee' kindly donated a set of stock na6 headers so that I can start building bolt on exhausts for it.

Question 1 for the knowledgable, whats the difference between na6 and na8 headers... apart from the flange.. IE will a header back exhaust from an na8 fit an na6 and vice versa?

So Ive got to finish 2 COPS setups im building, and then hopefully tuesday Ill pick up some mufflers, 2.5 inch pipe, flange plates, and some hotdogs.

Ive got to invest in a good microphone so that people can really hear what they sound like, that way I can put vids of exhausts on youtube and let people decide what they prefer.

Much less :D

Dweezle wrote:What sort of power figures are you getting out of the 4AGE?

Could only guess 180 odd HP at the flywheel.

Dweezle wrote:Any internal work done?

I laugh at your question.
Short answer, yes.
Its a 16V Bigport head on a 20V bottom end, forged pistons and rods, with the 20v big oil pump.
It has stock ports with everything that TRD sells in the head, including valves, springs and retainers. It also has an N2 cup car cam (well over 300 degrees duration) it is lumpier than a big sports bikes idle... at 3000rpm!
Haltech ecu, with the 45mm quads, running an alpha-N tune.

Now this is a fresh engine, that hasnt been run in or tuned yet, as the PO didnt know how to put an engine together but tried.... So Ill report the actual at the wheels dyno figure when it gets there. It will also be going E85.

Dann

This should explain the cams
