Now it's starting to look like your car, I'm impressed with the differences, and looking forward to seeing it in person in a few weeks!

About those polishing pads - do tell. Mine are going to need replacing, and a more abrasive pad & compound added to the collection next year to get the SP23 to the standard I'm after...

I know they're legal in NJ and I think in all states but restrictions apply.

3 people shot dead about 8 miles from here last night in a gun battle. 1 of them was wrong place, wrong time :frown:

We were getting raped on insurance. $1800 for 6 mths to start with. But rego is only $64 for four years. We figured it's about the same. The guy I bought the car off put us in touch with his insurance guy who's also a Miata (god I hate having to say that) man and with both our cars and we're now paying just over $2000 for both for 12 months.

Having to work out how much coverage you want is retarded....much like a lot of other things here

It was my 1th birthday in the US on Saturday. Happy B'day to me!

Lake Country Smart Pads. They don't get clogged, they work the polish nicely. I'm really impressed with them!

Definitely the Menzerna for polish, not so the wax. The wax is crap.

Well, today I started to finish off the exterior. The last time I hit it I ran outta time to do the boot, tail lights and rear bumper. Finally found some time to give it a hit. "sure darling, I'll be done by 1200, 1300 latest" At 1700, the results are below.

I haven't been able to get after shots due to a lack of direct light but you get the idea.

Still to do is remove the rubber marks from the witches hats along wrinkley parts, polish the mirrors, get the correct "pussy" springs for the AFCO's, clay the windows, detail the interior, paint and fit the side skirts, replace saggy rear view mirror....the list goes on!

The heavy as sin ENKEI black 17x7's are gone. All up, 20KG weight saving from black ENKEI's with shot tyres to RPF-1s with new Continental DW Contact Extreme somethings(215/40/17). Good thing I fitted a summer tyre's just in time for a winter snow storm 1 week later...yay

New 15x6.5 with Michelin IceX tyres coming soon for the winter season.

Since my last post I've found fixed my mysterious coolant leak. It was coming from a more than frail coolant return hose off the turbo. That was fun. The FM hard pipe kit will be installed as part of the winter project.

I've wound the AFCO suspension dial thingy up to compensate for the crazy 850lbs springs. 90% of the squeaking sounds are GONE but it's still WAAAAAAAY to much for a DD.

And last night I decided to wind the boost back up to 14.5lbs(was sitting @ ~10 to 11lbs before). I figure I've got a couple of weeks before the winter really hits and I won't be able to hammer it anyhow. The motor should hold out until May/June. The boost will be wound way back down to MIN once the snow hits properly.
