Re: My Black NB8A
Got the A/C re-gassed today and it is so much better driving it in this humidity. Now just have to pay rego and I can be totally poor.

Re: My Black NB8A
Today was the THIRD time my car has been backed into since I got it
At least this time a witness left a note, really dissapointed in people that they cant own up to hitting somebody.

Aughghgghh ! I hope it can be fixed quickly. Sad to hear drivers can be so heartless.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re: My Black NB8A
Payed off what I had owning on the car so that should free up some money for repairs/mods. Top of the list is a new rad, the current one is a very nice shade of brown. Will be replaced by a Cooling Pro 42mm alloy one.

Re: My Black NB8A
Booked in today to get the panel damage fixed, only $650 plus $240 for a full cut and buff. Will be nice to have a straight car again.

They look great, what size did you end up going with?

Re: My Black NB8A
Really nice looking car, well done!
Can you provide some more detail on installing the Mania CAI in the NB8A. I've also got an NB8A, but I'm worried about cutting the hole in the fire wall and moving the water bottle. It looks like you've angled the CAI up and cut the hole higher than I've seen on NAs. Is that right? How have you re-mounted the washer bottle?

Re: My Black NB8A
I found the location for the hole by finding the mid-point between the 2 holes for the washer bottle mount and drilling a pilot hole for this.

I cut the hole slightly undersize then opened it up with a dremel, you will also need to trim the plastic shielding that is directly behind eg.

I kept the hole has high as possible to avoid sucking up water when it rains, this may be overkill but i didn't want to take the chance.

The washer bottle was remounted using a stud on the guard and drilling a hole and installing a rivnut.

I haven't used a nut on the stud has the bolt holds quite firmly and it hasn't moved in the 12000km since I installed the intake.
