Re: Ben Sale's white 1990 NA6
I fitted a Sparco Sprint V today, something I had been wanting to have for a while. . I was lucky enough to grab the one Boyracer was selling a while back, it's brand new but at a substantially reduced price, cheaper than a lot of second hand ones I've seen actually! So thanks to Lou for selling me the awesome seat and a special thanks to Owen and Chris Boak for picking the seat up for me while they were in Sydney and bringing it back for me!!! You guys are both awesome!!!
It actually surprised me how comfortable the seat is for me and it holds you in so much better than the stock seat! You also sit substantially lower which is brilliant, I feel more like I'm sitting in the car now, rather than on it. Fitting it was pretty easy, just drill 2 new holes in the OEM seat rail and you're good.
I just need to sort out the harness now. Chris and Owen gave me a 3'' Sparco one with a few years before cams expiration which they didn't need to replace my 2'' Sabelt which would be a pain with this seat due to the design of it which would make it difficult to get it out the way when you want to just use the standard belt.... I just need to get some 3'' bolt mounts for the shoulder straps and a fifth strap then I can get that in too =)

Looks very comfy Ben. I might buy a Sprint V to replace my Bride near the end of the year too.

It looks like the 1 and 5 are at the same level but the 2 is sitting too high (1 or 2 mm) and leaning forward a fraction...
I agree the sill sticker rocks! What if it was on the black part of the sill and white? Though it might not be noticable that low
What are you doing with your old harness? i just fitted 2 new sparco sprint V seats so need one

Re: Ben Sale's white 1990 NA6
You're welcome to try it out sometime Henry and see what you think!
Craig, you're right that it's the 2 that is leaning, but it's the 5 that is the wrong hight... It's so minor but annoying. I'm going to take them off tomorrow and do them properly next time and leave it. I think the black will work better, but I might as well photoshop your idea too! I really should get around to making that up sometime soon!
I figure I'll put that one on the passengers side, maybe it will be handy for instruction sessions? I think it only has another year until it's out of date so isn't really good for track days for much longer anyway.

Re: Ben Sale's white 1990 NA6
We test fitted Alex's SSR Mk2's to my car yesterday. Currently sad due to the fact that my car will probably not look as cool ever again... 15x8 +6 and pumped but not rolled guards caused a few scrubbing issues but the fitment looked awesome! Need new wheels!!! Now to try and decide what I will buy next year...

Ben the green wheels really give meaning to your company name, too.
I'm sure you will come up with something equally impressive and I suppose you can always try someone like Dan aka Ruprecht since he's in Melbourne.
I've seen some MS and some Watanabe wheels on his forum but nothing as edgy as the SSRs recently.
Best I could find there were these babies.

If you could do something under your guards. Which could be interesting making them fit!

You can get the barrels in more sensible sizes too. Kevin had a set which have now found their way onto a NA somewhere.

They ended up on mine!
They are sitting in my garage shod with near new Nitto NT-01's in 205/50/15. I'm actually thinking of selling soon but just can't quite get enough courage to do so...

Re: Ben Sale's white 1990 NA6
Very interesting wheels! The offset of the linked ones is insane! I'm with Broady, something a little more sensible than negative offsets though! To be honest the fitment of Alex's 15x8 +6's are just about that perfect balance IMO. Your car looks awesome btw 95er! You should try removing the rear mudflaps though, I think you'd be surprised how much better it will look! =)
I've always liked coloured wheels (ref my bright orange track wheels) so will probably be looking for something which can handle a little colour
Had a big day of driving adventures today, will post some random photos of that soon as well as some new little mods and maybe some more of my car looking all awesome with the SSR's.

Did you put a spacer on? As far as I remember the MK1/MK2/MK3 all need a (small) spacer to clear the caliper.

Re: Ben Sale's white 1990 NA6
Yep, they need a 6mm spacer on the front. The rears don't need one though (at least not with normal na8 1.8 brakes we have).
What specs where the wheels you had? 14x? It looked hot!
