We are getting a new slave cylinder put in by our local Mazda dealer on Friday.
Can any one enlighten me to roughly the price of a new one and aprox how long it should take to install so that I have a rough idea of what they should be charging me.
Cheers!
Rodders.

Re: Price of A Slave Cylinder
It takes approx 30 - 40 min to install...
They will need to re fill the clutch master cylinder and bleed it, thats like 7 - 10 dollars and 5 min.
The cost of a clutch slave cylinder on mx5 parts uk is around 30 AUD shipped. The oem genuine mazda one is like 100 AUD.

Re: Price of A Slave Cylinder
As a rough guess, with Mazda doing the job, budget for 200 - 300+ and you might come away surprised.
As a guide, Mania list it at just under 200 to supply and fit.
If you are not locked in with Mazda, try a clutch & brake place for a quote.
It's not a hard job nor anything unusual.
Good luck

Re: Price of A Slave Cylinder
Well, I have had the job done at Bendigo Mazda and the total price for part and fitting was under $150.
Gotta be happy with that!
