Postby Gmi » Wed Jul 27, 2011 10:40 am

I have a kenwood DDX5034 for my nc1

Was wondering if anyone know places in Sydney or sources overseas that sell the steering wheel adaptor and connecting gps that works for the Bose system.
Looked up a couple from the us and most only work for non Bose ):
thanks for the help!!!

Im upgrading to the Kenwood DNX range in my 2005 NC1 Bose
got the adapter from eBay...
http://stores.ebay.com.au/Liquid-ICE-2008
ill let you know if it works when it arrives from the UK.

As for the GPS along if its the Kenwood one IE: KNA-G630
you should just be-able to plug in the cable to the back of the head unit and mount up under the dash.

*Update*
just got the goods the wiring harness is a standard iso plug on the head unit side so i will adapt my ken wood plug to an iso and try it out tonight
also Here is a manual on how to pull the unit out

I'm looking at modifying the Kenwood unit with the rear mount bit to fit that 10mm bolt for security & to hold the back up
(I just don't trust the plastic to do that lol)
some pics of the unit :D

Ok tested and the controls for perfect
the only thing i needed to do was add a pin (this is 1 of 2 differences between the Bose & non-Bose)
its the pink/black one in the photo
so buy a 2nd connector to cannibalize off of eBay
also don't forget that you need to use pre-outs to the Bose amp

apart form that all fitted and looking pretty, The sound quality has shot through the roof
