Re: charlie's na6
Just curious, are you after Function (race ready) or Form (pretty looking) or a combination of both?
Just seems like no matter how much you change the car, you won't be happy with the results at the moment.
Love the diffuser and the side steps, nice touch. If they flowed onto a nice big splitter it would look more in place than the GV lip.

You make a good point lol. I really could not be happier with the car ATM apart from the turbo. But I should be replacing that this week or next and it will be running well again
The stuff like bushings replacement and the hub conversion is just maintenance really.. The coilovers are leaking ATM so I wouldn't mind replacing them. That's way in the future though. It needs to be done. Things like the new manifold etc is just to have when I want to get more power. May be the end of the year may not. But when I do I'll rebuild the motor.
I don't really want to track it like normal mx5's I'd rather drift it. Mainly to just have fun more but I dunno. I'm sure ill get over the stance craze and will probably do a more functional setup.

Re: charlie's na6
Good points, I mean we all own 5's here or have owned so we understand the obsession, the bushings would be a good idea to replace when they are worn. I just have the same visions as you, i just don't have the backing I can atleast learn from your build. Really loving the look, if you get bored of the wheels and stance, i'm sure you won't have an issue moving the wheels along. Keep at it

Re: charlie's na6
Update
So i went and picked up the new turbo, havent put it on yet cos im lazy and cbf atm lol.. And also FINALLY got my new kg works cluster in that ive been waiting forking 7 months for.
So this week i can hopefully put the turbo in, and get the car driving good again Also my new turbo manifold etc just shipped out yesterday so that should be here in a week or so..
I might take the car off the road again in september to do a few things.. I need to replace the bushings, install the diff, put on the new 4x114.3 hub conversion and maybe a few little exterior things to the car. Feeling the urge to make this car a little more function and after doing a few photoshops of what it will look like, im keen to go ahead with this.. Trying to incorporate form and function together What i need to do for this is order some 225/45 r-s3s from the states and if anyone has any hookups that would be greatly appreciated. Also a few little exterior parts to make it all possible, raise the car a little and pull out a lot of the camber. Anyways, this can happen in the future, maybe like 2 or so months from today. Just want to do some maintenance work before i go doing other sh*t.

Hot, just hot! Love the extremeness of this car. You're taking it to the limits on all accounts.
Perhaps a little extreme for what I would do, but well done for making your vision happen.

Sooo... Now you've changed PCD, does this mean you'll be selling the BBS now?
