Me either, especially when (as often is the case) they take one good design and try to make it into another, and end up with some horrible disfigured love child of the two. The TF "replica" right down the bottom hits close to home.

That is in your opinion!!! There is no yes or wrong answer:DYes, but the MX-5 is still an individual car in its own right. It's not a rebodied version of something else, nor is it really trying to be something it's not.
