Khanacross: Me, my mates and some strangers

Postby Inksta » Sat Aug 06, 2011 5:43 am

Short version:

Here's a video I made out of some footage my friends and I took at the last khanacross race we attended.

Long version:

Had this video planned out for ages, storyboarded and everything. Got the first batch of footage, but needed a lot more. Then my Festiva got written off and now I have an MX-5, which is not suitable for off-road. Ergo, no more racing, at least not for the time being. So I had a half-finished video. Figured I'd do what I could with it rather than just leave it sitting gathering dust forever. So, I bastardised the song to make it shorter, and included a bunch of footage I would have discarded normally. And the colour correction is all over the shop. So… that's me making excuses for myself. I also included a few bits of footage from other events… you can see the Festiva at a motorkhana in there somewhere. :)

After all that, I saw this right after I'd finished making my video, and felt awed by its fantasticness:

Gold. Crazy Americans.

PS Go the 720p version of mah vid for maximum quality :)

PPS If you haven't tried khanacross, do yourself a favour and give it a go, it's freaking awesome.

Haha, the autotuned NASCAR prayer is disturbingly catchy. I liked the khanacross video too; very well put together though it did need some more footage to be properly fleshed out.

Will be Khanaxing next weekend with Holden sccq way at Lockrose Heritage Museum past Ipswich. :-D Can't wait. Many MX5 owners don't like the dust though. No probs about bumps in paddock. It's been laser leveled for us!!
