Chris's 1994 NA8 Clubman
Drove it to Newcastle last weekend to visit the cuz, didn't miss a beat. Now has NB glass window roof installed.
This weekend I have no racing commitments, so BD roll bar and the Megasquirt are hopefully going in. Interested to see how that all goes!
Have been slack with pics, racing is soaking up a lot of time, hopefully they will be forthcoming soon

How was the NB roof install, Chris? Something I am interested in copying.
PS. Bump for our SA mate considering a big NA8 rebuild.

Relatively easy. The toughest bit is riveting the new rain rail in place (Formaz buggered the rain rail on my top when removing it so I bought and installed a new Robbins rail).
This writeup is easy to follow and tells you everything you need to know:

Choose a warm, sunny day and it will be far easier. We did ours in the freezing cold and getting the roof tension correct was a challenge. Much easier with a helper to assist with lifting the top into position.

Relatively easy for someone like yourself sounds like it's somewhat tricky so yes I will try to get it right.
That's if I can get a certain NB top when I'm back.
Let me know if you are aware of any NA gear I could/should consider buying and bringing back to Oz from Europe. I looked at mx5parts.co.uk and it's more trim than anything else.
What bits might be worth considering? Front bushings? Like you I am seriously looking at quality coilovers but then again the Clubman Bilsteins may be enough for my modest track needs.

Mx5parts is a great place - I'm like a kid in a candy store when browsing their site...
Do they still do the ILmotorsport bracing kits? Also, if you need a new splitter or undertray, their prices are great

Fitted BD roll bar on weekend - looks great but doesn't play nicely with my NB glass window soft top. Should have seen that one coming... Anyone have an NB BD bar lying around?
Yesterday I wired up the LC1 and the DIYPNP. Calibrated LC1 and plugged everything in, started first time! Time to start messing with tune - turbo is in sight!

Re: Chris's 1994 NA8 Clubman
In short, i'll be running a ported GT2560 with BEGi cast ceramic coated manifold, stainless DP, and BEGi FMIC. Exhaust will be 2.5" Enthusa stainless front to rear.
ECU is a Braineack built DIYPNP with 4 Bar MAP sensor. I have two GM EBCs lying around but I am leaning towards a Turbosmart MBC at this stage. We'll see how things work there.
I have a few sets of injectors but right now, I am leaning toward a set of 420cc RX8 pintle injectors. I am not expecting much more than 200-220whp on the stock bottom end, so they should be sufficient or at least close. If they max out, I have an AEM FPR and a Walbro HP fuel pump to pitch up the fuel pressure a bit.

Re: Chris's 1994 NA8 Clubman
Had a chance to play with the tune a little today, it is running much better and seems to drive well. Idle is a little rough but not too bad. Tunerstudio's autotune seems to work OK but I think i'll have to do some manual tuning at some stage. AFRs are pretty close.
The turbo install is in sight!
Unfortunately the BR roll bar will have to come out as it doesn't fit with the glass window soft top - look for it soon on the For Sale forum
I also have to get around to installing the stainless rails too - thanks Vic

Re: Chris's 1994 NA8 Clubman
Big day - I started the turbo install!
Exhaust is off, intake is off, I have the oil supply and return installed on the engine and have the turbo and mani prepped and ready to go in. Next up will be lining up and installing the mani, snail and DP and getting them all snugged in... Hopefully a couple of evenings this week should do it!
Then it will be injectors and tuning... I can smell the power coming!!!

Awesome build, you planning on getting the turbo engineered?

Yep - and the brakes, and the chassis rails, etc etc.
Emissions will be the true test but I am confident I can pass with some tuning...
