Re: Badbong's SP: "Diablo"
Still red (just to keep the Diablo theme) but a nice, deeper, more luxurious red like what you would see in an Aston Martin.
Seeking better quality material as well.

Wow that read is nice but I dont like to see CF on a Bentley..it just looks cheap.
How do you paint the interior? vinyl paint?
Leave your worries in God's hands

Not quite sure myself yet mate but i'm sure there's a type of paint that will do the job.
I'm personally steering towards leather stitching for the centre console instead of just painting over it.

Congrats at joining the 'exclusive' SP club....
Your black/red project sounds interesting. I'm (ever-so-slowly) working on a white/red/black combination, with hopefully some red Sparco seats, or similar, as soon as I have some spare cash. The two cars would look interesting together.
BTW... I can definitely confirm an LSD is beneficial to the SP. I've also got Whiteline anti-sway bars which helps keep things nice and flat in the corners. I'm still running on the stock suspension though, my preference is for the car to sit a little lower, but I'm really happy with the handling. Here's a fairly recent pic taken next to Nadine's car (ex-Sandeep's). Now that is one tricked-up SP!

Yes... I'm with Locutus there - would love to have a White SP any day (without even taking into the fact that there's only 2 of them)
Always wanted a black&white themed MX5 but am not game enough to do it in the reverse colour theme (white roof, wheels and body kit with black body)

I'm in! =)

Gees... haven't updated this for a while but I've finally found some time today.
Admittedly, it's been tough not to think about my beloved Diablo while it was waiting for his heart surgery but I think he'll be back on the road very soon
Anyways, back-tracking a bit... here're the pics from the 'heart extraction' episode:
*On jack stands...
*All pipes and hoses removed... and the radiator's gone too
*The hair-dryer...
*Heart extraction...
*And... broken hearted

Re: Badbong's SP: "Diablo"
To repay for all the great advice that I've received on 'how to clean the engine bay'... here are some photos of the job done.
Ingredients...
- CT-14
- "3in1" silicon spray
- Pressure sprayer
- Clean clothes
- Elbow grease
God I wish I had a proper hose down at the garage so I didn't have to use a pissy pressure spray to get the crap off Anyways... here goes:
*Before the wash
*Cover off all fuses, plugs, intake hoses, heater hoses, bearings of the gearbox... with plastic bags and rubber bands
*Everything foams up... used a 10:1 ratio between CT-14 and tab water
*The trusty green pressure bottle
*Left it to dry overnight just in case any water intruded the fuses / plugs
So all in all... with the Silicon Spray (which drys itself out after a few hours):
BEFORE... and...
AFTER!
