Re: Randy's NC
Sandown on fresh KU36's new NC club record of 1.32.3. Very happy with that.

Re: Randy's NC
Very impressive Sandown result! Third fastest MX-5 on the day. Not bad for Standard NC.
Randy, I see you're running in Standard NC again rather than Restricted Open. What's the deal?

Basically I can't afford the R Specs at this point in time.

Re: Randy's NC
Let's be honest. What it's really about is that Randy always looks to the setup that lets him spend the most time sideways. He's discovered that he can get sideways for only 60% of a lap on r-specs compared to 80% of a lap on s-specs.
Really looking forward to seeing this technique at Wakefield.

Re: Randy's NC
or is it because Colin is stealing all his SNC records, so he had to go back and reclaim them...
Though someone obviously forgot to tell him that removing go fast bits from your car and dropping 3 classes shouldn't make you quicker than you were in Restricted Open....

Re: Randy's NC
Yeh, that was going to be my next comment. Randy going quicker in a std NC with S-specs, than he did with a modded NC with R-specs ... that's some achievement!
80% sideways at Wakefield Park? Is there another way?

Re: Randy's NC
I did p.i on sunday and thought i might get close to your restricted open record. But could only get a 1:59.9. But that nb8b is slow. Needs some power. Good times at sandown, can't wait to go back there and give it another crack. (might be cup day)

Re: Randy's NC
Definitely no bolt on job. I was lucky that my insurance was paying for a new nose cone and a light. I simply paid the difference. Total cost, including painting the front bar, bonnet and guards was $3400. So not a cheap conversion. Mind you I think it's well worth it.
