Re: Technical Question
No auto electrician myself but I'd look at wiring a relay between the main wires for all of those different things, triggered by the accessory wire from your ignition.
No idea on the start button sorry.

Re: Technical Question
I've got one. You should check out my video on YouTube :p
the light is usually powered by by the cigerette lighter light circuit, which usually only comes on when the lights are on.
It is apparently possible to get the button to stop working once started, but it was too complicated for me, so I didn't bother. I also didn't wire up the light, coz I couldn't think of anything more annoying than a red light on all the time.
If it's in the cigerette lighter area, it's hard to push accidently. Food for thought.
If you need to know which wires are used for the button, let me know, and I'll upload a pic for you.
Cheers.

Re: Technical Question
An idea i had was to run the head units ignition wire to a power distributer and use that for all the lights??
But cbf trying would it work?
Does the headlights power and earth turn on by the switch or only the power?

I would wire the switch light to ignition and the alternator warning light terminal and it will operate just as the alternator warning light.

Re: Technical Question
I am not even sure I understand any of this. How hard is it to turn off the cars lights. Ignition off - lights turned off. Whilst some may have never experienced it but an amateur at auto electrics is not a good look- when the wire burns it is a bit scary. A run down on auto electronics read something like "How to diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems- Tracy Martin.

I forgot the top section a set of ignition controlled relays for each except tail lights as that is a legal requirement to operate without the key
