I've noticed in the HONDA CRX DEL SOL and the NISSAN 350z, there are small heater vents that come down through the centre console, and see around where the gear stick is.. on the sides of that there are 2 small vents that do an EXCELLENT JOB keeping u warm.
I was wondering if anyone thought of maybe modifying the heater to that. I guess with this kind of mod all you've have to do is find the vent that goes to the feet, split it and run a small tiny vent that goes to the centre console down near the gear stick.
You guys have much more experience with mx5's im still a noob here dont know the insides to well.
SO thought id ask before i set out a project that never gets done lol
Opinions??

There's already plenty of heat coming through the gear turret, I'm sure it wouldn't be that had to cut a few holes in you centre console at all. Slightly harder part would be hooking up a fan down there it actually moves said heat.

Take out your carpet and the tunnel gives off plenty of heat, especially the passenger side down near the dump pipe.

Wait until you get a turbo on it then feel how hot the tunnel gets on that side
