Speedbleeders leaking

Postby rossint » Wed Sep 10, 2008 10:29 pm

The backs seemed to have seated properly after the last bleed but the fronts are still leaking, I can pretty much get the pedal to the floor if I push hard enough. The cars now off the road as I'll be in the US for the next month and I'll be installing my brake upgrade when I get back so I'll be back on OEM bleeders.

Is it normal for a little bit of fluid to be coming out of the nipple when you are bleeding the brakes, just out of interest?

Sorry for the ancient revivial.

When you bleed the brakes you're draining the old fluid out of the nipple, so there should be more than a little fluid coming out the nipple.

Do you mean the thread of the nipple? As long as it doesn't leak at all when the nipple is tightened (and don't be an idiot like me and snap the nipple in the calliper) then your all good.

You have speedbleeders or OEM?
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I have closest to OEM (my OE ones were a bit corroded, and the OE ones are like $20 a piece or something rediculous). But yes, it is from the thread and only when bleeding
