Hi Okibi,
Well, I did as you suggested, in my not so smart way, I turned off the car, disconnected the battery from the negative terminal and all hell let loose. The alarm went ballistic. I exaggerate, it was just the normal alarm sound. I couldn't get it to stop, so i ended up disconnecting its plug, unscrewing it and then hiding it under all the blankets and linen i could find until it finally shut up about 20 minutes later. Anyhow, problem partly solved because now my bose and bluetooth work again like best mates.
However, now i don't have my alarm sounder connected, i'm thinking of reconnecting it now, but is there anything i should do or know before i do so? I don't want it to start going crazy again. Now thats its stopped alarming i can look at it closer to see there is only a dial i can access with a screwdriver on the back of it, everything else is sealed shut.
When i change out this battery in the future for a lighter battery how should i replace it with out setting the alarm off? I don't seem to have any instructions with how to deal with my "OEM mazda high spec alarm" option. I'm going to consult my car manual now for any possible guidance.
Cheers,
kris
